Florida's Beaches

Florida boasts a fabulous coastline with over 800 miles of glorious sandy beaches; fringed with palm trees, warm blue waters and wonderful weather.
Here is a selection of some of the best beaches within easy reach of Orlando.

Clearwater Beach

A narrow island separating Clearwater Harbour from the Gulf of Mexico. Rreached via a long 'intercoastal highway' bridge. You can enjoy some serious sunbathing or water sports and dolphins can often be seen playing in the sea. The landmark Pier 60 is really the hub of the beach activities and is great for relaxing sunsets. There are also seafront restaurants from which to watch the maritime traffic pass by. It is a favourite haunt of the yachting set, cruising up and down the coast.
